RDO House: Simple Family House
RDO house is a simple family house. The house resides in Záhorské, a residential area of western Slovakia. It covers maximum privacy that was the primary requirement by the client. In addition, a tall oak in the centre of the plot needed to remain as is. Both of the requests that the client inquired where assessed by the contractor and implemented wonderfully. The architectural office in charge was in fact the Čechvala Architects.
The house’s entrance is situated at the southern corner of the plot. A spacious vestibule leads to an exterior staircase that provides direct access to the atrium without entering the main house. In particular, this design allows for a smooth transition between indoor and outdoor spaces. On the entrance level, the layout includes a garage and a foyer, from which a staircase ascends to the main living area, including also a tv room layout.
