Al Freno is an artist who focuses on shades of blue! “There is always a patch of blue sky for whoever wants it and behind every cloud hides the sky” as he explains. Sea and Sky Paintings are prominent through Freno’s work. It resembles a bit the work of Hiroshi Nagai, however Freno’s work seems to be more digitised.

He visited many countries and became fascinated by the blue, the sea, the paradisiacal villas and the swimming pools, all of which can be found in his work today. “I have traveled a lot to many countries and I think that’s where my passion for blue, the sea, dream villas and swimming pools comes from. I like through my paintings to make the person who looks at them travel. That they can dive, in a way, into the painting“.

Al Freno

Al Freno is a Belgian artist originally from Cambrai, who currently lives and works in Brussels. Freno has started drawing at an early age, focusing on several techniques including shadows, lights and perspectives. These techniques came from the Dunkirk School of Fine Arts, where he studied. In fact, his work is inspired by the masters of painting Dali and Picasso.

He has exhibited his work throughout the world. In fact, exhibitions were performed in metropolitan cities such as Los Angeles, Seoul, London and Paris. In this article his latest work is presented. The result is impressive. Enjoy.
