Great Ways to Nourish Your Body
There is so much information out there on healthy eating and nutrition, and it’s flooded the market in recent years that we need to be off of a diet to be happy – which sounds like someone telling you if you lick dirt it’ll taste gross! We know that being off of a diet is a better thing to be than on one. Dieting sucks, but that doesn’t mean that you need to be on a diet to nourish your body.

There are plenty of ways that you can look after yourself, and nutrition is just one of them. You don’t have to indulge in toxic practices of fasting for ‘health’ or eating acai berries unless you choose to. You might know the growing popularity of organic foods but that doesn’t mean you’ll have the budget for them, you know? Still, you can enjoy nourishing your body without having to ‘go organic’ but you might choose to because you prefer the ethical practices and the taste. The point is that to nourish your body, you only need a few things to help. Here those are:
Eat whatever you want and give yourself permission to do it
Nourishment shouldn’t just be about health, but about enjoyment and eating the food that you want whenever you want it. Permission to eat is actually a bigger deal than you think when you spend years seeing magazines and celebrity things telling you not to! Ditch the rules and feel comfortable with food, and you’ll see how fast you eat fruits and veggies.
Remember that nourishment is more than food
Healthy food choices are more than just proteins and fish, fruit and veggies. It’s about physical and emotional health. It’s about mental wellbeing. All of these things are much easier to achieve if you realize that you are not fighting a losing battle – you just have to make a point of being okay with ways to nourish you!
Experiment

Having fun with food and health is important. Do you hate gym? go swimming. If you hate fish, stick to lean meats like turkey and pork. Get curious and allow yourself to say yes to a taste of this and a sip of that. You can find so much excitement in experimenting with new foods and if you are brave enough, you’ll be excited to open your mind to a new option!
Go with your body
If you allow your body to be your guide, you’re going to embrace healthier decisions naturally. You’ll spend more time responding to your own hunger cues and you’ll move your body as you please, and you’ll be able to re-learn how to trust yourself. It takes time after a lifetime of ignoring what makes you hungry and indulging at last. It’s the way you should be eating, and you should be moving your body the way you want, too. go with what your body needs and you’ll be well nourished from day one.
