Chelsea Wong is a painter and muralist who currently lives and works in San Francisco. In fact, San Francisco is her hometown. Her latest series, Sun’s Energy tries to describe feelings visually. “I believe we are all entitled to joy, happiness, and celebration.” Chelsea explains. “It is how I connect with the world. As the title of this show suggests, The Sun’s Energy, we are all beings on this planet sharing the same sun, soaking up the same warmth, and deserving of it’s good energy“.
Wong has a degree from Parsons School of Design, New York. Furthermore, she holds a B.A. in Printmaking from California College of the Arts. Her main techniques are watercolor, gouache and acrylic. Work of hers is exhibited across United States, Europe and Asia. Her main themes are real-life scenes with occupied people. Similarly, tries to explore the positivity, the energy of things. And she does it wonderfully.
Sun’s Energy Recent Exhibition
Earlier this month Wong had her debut solo exhibition in New York City. It was named Sun’s Energy and showed at Hashimoto Contemporary. This series depicts her memories throughout her life. Likewise, she depicts the positive feelings through her paintings. The result is impressive. Enjoy.
