Song 97: Mexican Institute of Sound – Sinfonía Agridulce
Originally, the song is an adaptation from the Bitter Sweet Symphony released by The Verve. However, the Bitter Sweet Symphony, produced in 1997, seems like it is an adaptation of an older song. More specifically, the song was based from the The Rolling Stones’ song The Last Time, released in 1965.
The version covered here is the Sinfonía Agridulce from the group Mexican Institute of Sound. It is a rework from The Verve’s song, new elements of the song being written by the leader of the group Camilo Lara. Not to mention, that the group is an electronic music project encouraging fusions of folk and more traditional music with modern sounds of the area. The result is impressive. Enjoy.
