Conceptual Design Artworks by Jorg Karg
Conceptual Design Artwork
Jorg Karg is a German based artist who focuses on conceptual design and digital photographic collage. Karg explores with several materials in his preliminary designs. “During the last 15 months, I took about 8.000 photos in my studio and around. I experimented with clay, wire, wood and so many more materials and objects.” he explains.
His conceptual process has several iterations before the artwork is finalised. “Breaking the boundaries means breaking my own boundaries in the first place. Dismiss all restrictions. Exhale everything. Start again.” is in his mission statement and it is evident by his work.
Originally Karg drew and painted, however photography prevailed. From then on he has a passion of photography and has been making digital collages for over a decade. He takes photographic material, rearranges it, and abstracts it, using photo-editing software, creating his own photographic material while collaborating with other photographers from all around the world.
This article presents Karg’s latest work. There is a current exhibition under the name Fire Without a Sound at Retrospect Galleries until the end of November. The result is impressive. Enjoy.
