Springboard divers have to be dancers, athletes, swimmers before they start climbing the diving board. And then they need to re-craft their expertise, as eveything they know beforehand, have to be performed in the air. Hard but at the same time fulfilling. This series depicts pool divers from early ages up to the age of tnirty.

This project was a collective contribution by digital artist Jeff Whitlock and photographers Neil Kremer and Cory Johnson. Whitlock continues to blaze “[…] my own trail specializing in composite images and creative retouching. [I have the ability] to creatively color outside the lines, adding that something extra beyond merely completing the assignment as instructed“.
Kremel and Johnson are specialising in “[…] capturing authentic moments in even the most manufactured of settings.” and this is evident by this series. The series was taken at Rose Bowl Aquatics Center, Pasadena, CA. The result is impressive. Enjoy.
