Drawings through Google Street View by Nao Tatsumi

Nao Tatsumi is an illustrator that has a background in both art and architecture. Her latest endeavour is to draw scenes by not starring them directly. Instead, her main medium is Google Street View.

“Looking around us carefully, we can find trivial but attractive scene which people usually don’t pay attention to. I want to paint that kind of landscapes […]” she explains. “Street View Journey is my project of drawing scenes from Google Street View all over the world.“.

She is a Japanese artist having an architectural design degree from University of Tsukuba. She currently lives in Tokyo. The project started in 2017 and from then on plans “[…] to invite public contributions of the attractive places using Google map pins for the collaboration with numerous people all over the world“.
