Hayv Kahraman Paintings
Hayv Kahraman is an artist that lives in Los Angeles, originally from Baghdad, Iraq. She is primarily a painter but she also sculpts and sketches. Due to rough conditions, she had to leave her country at an early age and become a refugee at Sweden. During that time there is started painting, having her first exhibition at the age of 12. Later she went to Florence, Italy to study Art.
Kahraman has exhibited her work in numerous places throughout the world. Her style has Arabic origins, however her work is unique. The body has a central role in her paintings. Her overall work is presented in this article. Enjoy.
