Mercedes Helnwein is an artist born in Austria and moved in Ireland in her teens. Her father, Gottfried Helnwein, is also an artist. She intentionally decided not to attend an art school; she developed instead her own patterns by following specific cartoonists and reading Russian literature.
Her media range from pencil to oil painting. Her work has been exhibited to West Coast of US and in Europe. Damien Hirst has bought out one of her shows. In this article selected work is presented. Enjoy.
