Tina Berning is a German artist and illustrator who currently lives and works in Berlin. She started as a graphic designer and eventually her work evolved into illustrations and drawings. Her main theme is human figures, and women is her predominant theme. In fact, several exhibitions has taken place for her work to Japan, USA and Europe. In addition, several prestigious media such as The New York Times, Vogue (Italia, Nippon, Germany) and Architectural Digest has featured her work.
Exhibition at Alison Milne Gallery
Currently, the exhibition Those Who Stay is showing in Alison Milne Gallery, Toronto. It will last until the 5th of November. “[Tina] creates a subjective, critical and tender view of women, unraveling the vulnerability of femininity that is reflected on the surface of the media in the fashion and beauty industries.” the Gallery suggests. The result is impressive. Enjoy.
