Song 87: Hall & Oates – Maneater

Although I never knew Hall & Oates, a duo from Philadelphia, PA, the song Maneater was a hit back then. The group was culminating in the late seventies up to the mid eighties. The group is still active. Daryl Hall is the vocalist of the two, but also plays a wide range of musical instruments. John Oates also plays a range of instruments, but primarily plays electric guitar and provides backing vocals. The song was released on October of 1982 reaching number one on the Billboard Hot 100 chart on Christmas period remaining there for four weeks. Enjoy.

By the purr of a Jaguar
Money’s the matter
If you’re in it for love
You ain’t gonna get too far
