Christine Wu is a San Francisco based artist. Her main medium is oil painting. She has a degree from Art Center College of Design in Pasadena. In a recent interview she explains that “I studied Illustration at Art Center, but do not consider myself an illustrator by any traditional terms. Art Center provided me with the discipline that would not come naturally to many artists in general, and I was given a place to explore“. This is obvious form her work.

Her work symbolizes her over all approach to life. She despises the shortcomings of the modernized world and she tries to evolve as time goes by. Moreover, she is inspired from almost anything that happens near her, as she suggests “I am inspired by everything around and within me, particularly when I see someone move expressively with their hands in a mundane setting“.
