Vistamar (or, Sea View), by Mario Dotti
Mario Dotti is an Italian photographer based currently in Milan. This series was taken recently though it seems it has a vintage taste. Dotti depicts through his pictures idealised snapshots of beach resorts. ‘Accidental postures of the people and random situations in the frame appear as being a sort of scheduled elements of a wider posed scene, where each square meter, each row, contains a microcosmos with its people and stories‘ he explains.
In a sense has taken the expected result. Most of the accessible beaches have the same outlook, so I am not sure whether the result is scheduled or conventional. Amenities in the beaches are significant though if one gets the amenities definitely loses the raw beauty. Either ways this series is wonderful, very well formed and colourful. Enjoy.
