Scandinavian Interiors House, Madrid, Spain
Scandinavian design has emerged in the fifties in the Denmark, Norway, Sweden and Finland. In this context, design is plain, minimal with no artistic overheads. Since then, the Scandinavian interiors have not altered much. This is evident by browsing the design of such objects from this style.
Commissioned for this wonderful apartment was Juan Carlos Fernández. The architect has been involved in numerous installations in Madrid and elsewhere. Several magazines has featured his work including Elle, Architizer and Journal Design. In addition, Wallpaper, Monolce and Architectural Digest has presented Fernández’ creations concerning Scandinavian interiors.
The apartment completed in 2014 having the Scandinavian aura from the furniture through the set up of the house. Natural colours, white walls and a range of contemporary furniture from the fifties. The result is remarkable. Enjoy.
