Song 66: Ray Charles – Georgia on My Mind
Georgia is a state I have been travelled to some time ago; I have been to Savannah a city that have access to the sea. While I was there short, heavy rainfalls were pouring throughout the stay. So the song Rainy Night in Georgia was the soundtrack for this travel.
But Georgia is always on my mind. And currently I have been listening the song ‘Georgia on My Mind‘ through Annie Lennox’ version, an extremely well formed version. Originally was composed by Hoagy Carmichael and Stuart Gorrell and released by Ray Charles in 1960, a native of Georgia. It became the official state song of the State of Georgia in 1979. Enjoy.
