Hollywood Movies over the Last 100 Years by Their Costumes , by Frederico Birchal
There are some movies etched in memory. Most of them are through the actors, the music, the director but there are some that the costumes have a predominant role. Do you remember the yellow uniform in Kill Bill by Uma Thurman? or the black suits and shades in Blues Brothers? Frederico Birchal, a Brazilian graphic designer, tried, and wonderfully completed, illustrations of iconic movies for the last 100 years.
Charlie Chaplin’s The Tramp, The Great Gatsby, Rocky III, Raiders of the Lost Ark or Die Hard. Movies that may or may not be the the best as far as the dialogues or art were concerned, but movies that were majestic in one way or another. And the icing on the cake were these illustrations by Frederico Birchal. Costumes that fully identify the movie. The result is impressive. Enjoy.
