Karlsruhe is a southwest city of Germany near the borders of France, second largest city of the province after the capital Stuttgard. The house was “a part of a northern situated villa. A pavilion which belongs to the historic ensemble is part of the wall, which encloses property at three sides.” the architect suggests. Christ Christ Architects is an architectural office with a range of activities from exhibition stands to residential houses. In this project they built an elegant house.

When I first saw the cover picture of this article I was astonished, the house seemed like a brick of Tetris yet the illumination of the house provides an incredible sense of brightness. Numerous spots placed evenly in the ceiling create the atmosphere of order. The house is a 4-storey house accessed via a internal starway but also via an elevator. The living room in the ground floor has double-height giving the necessary space for one to be relaxed instantly. In the basement there is a indoors swimming pool, for me one of the wildest dreams. The house is exceptional. Enjoy.
