Istanbul Colourful Architecture, by Yener Torun
Although Yener Torun is an architect, photography stole his heart. Or, to be exact, Instagram caught his eye by noting the easy way to share a photograph. So, a year or so ago Torun started capturing the colours of the Istanbul, a city he went to 14 years ago. The delicate thing of this series is that Istanbul is a city founded in 660 BC and it appears that in every era, including this one, is always at the edge of things. And Torun highlights this wonderfully.
Torun captures new, industrial buildings though the buildings is the mean to express the live colours, and subsequently the emotions each colour represent, through his photographs. “What I show is completely abstracted from the reality. With the human element, the background becomes a tool that shows a feeling or emotion” he explains. The result is impressive. Enjoy.
