Moonassi Drawing by Daehyun Kim

Daehyun Kim was born and currently works and lives in Seoul, having a degree in traditional East Asian painting. The project Daehyun works on, Moonassi, is a long life project started back at the university. “There is no specific background story or a theory about the drawing. Each drawing is created based on my daily thoughts and feelings. I draw to meditate on myself and others, and to be able to see the whole story of the series in the end” he explains. Each drawing definitely has more than the obvious for the viewer. Feelings, custom of the society,  reflections are all there. Daehyun got the 2013 ‘YCN Professional Award‘. His work is being exhibited throughout South Korea, but it was also in a group exhibition in New York earlier this year. Enjoy.
