Song 44: Buddy Holly – True Love Ways

Charles Hardin Holley, or better known as Buddy Holly, was a rock ‘n’ roll hero. Critic Bruce Eder described him as “the single most influential creative force in early rock and roll“, having influenced some of the greatest artists ever like The Beatles, The Rolling Stones and Bob Dylan. The song, True Love Ways, was about his relationship with his wife, Maria Elena Holly. Specifically, Holly describes his relationship with his wife as a gift. In fact, it was recorded in October 1958. The result is impressive. Enjoy.
