Portraits of Women by Ling Jian
Ling Jian had studied in Qinghua University Art College in Beijing. He has worked in Vienna and Hamburg some time ago, and now spends his time in both Berlin and Beijing. His work has been exhibited throughout the world, from Los Angeles to New York and From Amsterdam to Hamburg. Moreover, he had exhibitions in the Eastern part of the world, namely to Bangkok, Beijing and Hong Kong.
His main techniques are oil and acrylic painting and most of the times his subjects are women. Ling’s paintings address issues of personal identity in China, and examine the social and political aspects of Chinese life. His portraits are very expressive identifying pureness of the subjects.
