Paintings by Thomas Saliot

Thomas Saliot was born in Paris and works in his home-town but also in Marrakech. His main focus is to retouch photographs by his brushes. He produces instances once more, yet this time the instances are more naive, more innocent. By doing so, the audience could identify a different perspective of the scene or the person. I was amazed by looking the well known ‘Harlem 1960’ photograph by Saul Leiter (a dedicated post for this lovely photographer will be displayed later this year) being a painting. Some of his work is extremely good. Enjoy.
