The building in which the apartment resides, located in Bermondsey Street, SE1, was previously a tin and zinc factory. Form Design Architecture, the office that was responsible to transform the loft, has offices on the ground floor of the same building this loft resides. The client originally asked for minor alternations though the result was a full transformation of the place. “Having previously lived in New York, [the client] was keen for the apartment to feel more like a warehouse loft reflecting the industrial character and scale of the space,” said architect Mike Neale. The result is impressive.
