Jason Thielke grew up in Tempe, Arizona taking summer art classes with adults at Arizona State University. He got his Bachelor of Fine Arts from Northern Illinois University School of Art and after some years in Chicago relocated to Denver. His work has technical elements as an architect sketches a design, but also artistic ones expressing emotions through his drawings. Previous works involved laser etching and many hours digitally recreating his original, hand-drawn sketches. “My favourite tool is coloured pencil and graphite. Itʼs all fun, but that is what really pulls it together for me, the areas that are coming into focus, thatʼs whatʼs doing it. Itʼs a tool that is translating and allowing the continuation of my style” Thielke explained. Great work.
