Shattered Flowers, a Flower Photo Shoot by Jon Shireman
Jon Shireman ia a New York City based photographer. He focuses in still life, travel, architecture and portrait photography. In his latest flower photo shoot he literally shamed flowers, in a different way than Fong Qi Wei.
To accomplish his flower photography idea, Shattered Flowers, Shireman soaked various kinds of flowers in a liquid nitrogen bath for up to 30 minutes before using a special spring-loaded contraption to slam them against a surface at high speed. He then photographed the hundreds of fragments spread across a white surface like sharp glass shards. The result is impressive. Enjoy.
