Caroline Denervaud Paintings

Caroline Denervaud was born in Lausanne, Switzerland and went to London studying contemporary dance and choreography at the Laban Center. An unexpected injury forced Denervaud to quit her dance aspirations. Instead, she enrolled to the fashion design school of Beaux-Arts in Paris. She explained to a recent interview that although the injury was a big shock, she re-structured herself using her dance studies to other forms of art. She currently uses her prior studies to depict forms and gestures in her paintings. Inspiration comes from the twenties up until the early sixties. In this article her studio and some distinctive paintings are presented. Enjoy.
