Pencil Stories by CW Pencil Enterprise

What if this thing I love, this strange small thing, could be my job?” Caroline Weaver – owner of CW Pencil Enterprise – asked her self. Two years later her company celebrated the second anniversary. CW Pencil Enterprise is located in the Lower East Side Manhattan. Weaver and her colleagues “dig up the stories and origins of these objects and make them accessible to those who appreciate them for their functionality, beauty and history as much as we do. As simple as it may be, the pencil is something which despite advances in technology will never become obsolete“.

This is a rare experience as, apart from providing unique pencils and accesories about pencils, CW Pencil Enterprise also provides the history of its products. The Grafite history about pencils, Japan’s notorious competition between Tombow and Mitsubishi pencil companies, Napoleon and the modern pencil are stories amongst others that wrap up the pencils themselves. The result is impressive. Enjoy.
