Linear House, Rajagiriya, Sri Lanka

Palinda Kannangara Architects is an office that is occupied with both recreational and resedential projects. The Linear House resides in Battaramulla, a suburb of the capital city of Sri Lanka, Colombo. The asset of this porject was completed flawlessly having a limited budget. Being 688 sq.m. the house costed as low as $60,000.

It is a family house designed by Palinda Kannangara’s office located in the heart of the suburbean city. Apart from the clean architectural decisions, the outer design for the garden has equally prominent role in the house. By creating an eco-system within the existing one, it can control the temperature and the air of the house. The house is separated into two floors, the first one being for common activities and the second one having the master bedroom plus two other bedrooms. The result is impressive. Enjoy.
