Contemporary Ballet Dancers by Alexander Yakovlev
Ballet has emerged over the years from a classic form of art to an evolving dance set. Apart from modern works classical works can be transformed by twisting specific things. Works like Cinderella, The Nutcracker or Swan Lake can have a dramatic swift by changing the costumes or the scenery.
Alexander Yakovlev has graduated in law from Russian State University for the Humanities. He currently lives in Moscow and he is dedicated to photography. In the series Ballet Time he tried to depict ballet dancers in a superfical way.
Personally I love to watch classic art in the original way, but art is not static. Yakovlev gave to the audience a different perspective. And did it wonderfully. Enjoy.
