The house resides in the 7th district of Saigon, the biggest of the city. MM+ Architects tried to re-engage an old architectural recipe in a contemporary installation. In Vietnam the style of having as a main entrance a folding shutter are wide where both a shop and house are combined. They called ‘shophouse’ and have crafted the urban landscape. The architects having a very narrow space to work – it was as narrow as 4m – they used these older techniques to provide a polished outcome. The installation is elegant and at the same time comfortable for any audience. Enjoy.
