After the share of Casa GG15 in EWAT, an exquisite installation in the same region, Casa Itzimná, has its turn. Same location -Merida, Yucatan- with same architects, being Reyes Rios + Larrain Studio of Architecture and Design, the house is a single arrangement trying to fully adapt with the area around.

As the office commisioned for the project has as passion to re-structure existing installation, from colonial homes to luxury hotels, they definitely know how to build a house and fit with the surroundings. They used elements from the wider area such bamboo (Mexican bamboo is native to central and southern Mexico and Central America) or wood. Although an older house was built at the sixties it needed to be demolished as the as any repair was not effective, though some elements are still present. The current installation is family house of 500 sq.m. available for expansion. Enjoy.
