The Wolseley Residence, Brighton, Australia
mckimm is an architectural office based on Victoria, Australia. It creates “beautiful, sophisticated, liveable spaces through the seamless integration of design, management and construction at one touch-point“. One of the latest installation is The Wolseley Residence, residing in Brighton, a beach-side suburb of Melbourne.
The house was made to accommodate a young family of five. It is marvellous house covering any amenity a regular house could cover with a very stylistic way. “The home welcomes an energetic social life, so zones to entertain are well considered within a clever use of introspective architecture. The house is large, however the zones ensure the family never feels too far apart.” the architect suggests.
Lorenzo Garizio, having been exposed in installation in South Africa and in particular in Cape Town, was the lead architect for mckimm office for this project. The house has 3 levels providing view to the garden from all rooms. This design has been energy rating labelled so that it uses the energy efficiently. The result is impressive. Enjoy.
